Hi all.
Thought i’d tell you about my week really, purely because i’ve woken up too early and am extremely bored. Except i won’t go into alot of detail because usually my brain doesn’t store dull memories for longer than -i dunno, an hour?
On friday i went to work to stand in for Nathan who was taking an A Level exam that day, fair enough. Busy day though. About 70 customers asked about these new air conditioning units (which don’t look that great to be frank) that were on sale. Now- their stored in the warehouse up four flights of stairs and of course our stupid company decides we shouldn’t display them for the public. About 20 customers wanted to see the damn things so i had to ask around all the male colleagues to get one down for me - of which noone accepted until i finally asked our team leader Aidan.
Aidan is a funny guy actually. He’s a bit emo looking with straight black hair with a blonde streak in and listens to Enrique, Bryan Adams and The Fray occasionally in-between all his emo rock. He also has a fan club, which brings me neatly onto Saturday at work..
Nicole, i are the girls who man the front till throughout a saturday. It’s fun but annoying as we are too talkative and need to serve on the busiest day whilst being next to open doors. On first impressions i didn’t know if i’d get on with Nicole then we realised that we pretty much have alot in common- like watching sequels to quite poorly made romantic comedies and trying to convince our boss to put on Girls aloud on a Sunday. Anywoo… Aidans fan club which consist of about 5 ‘indie-emo-rocker-chick’ stereotypes than hang around with a couple of boys (geeks) outside. They are descended into more stereotypes as i studied them for what seemed about 5 hours in my daydream. There is the’ Popular girl’, she wears radical clothing, pretty bright. I decided she was because she left her friends as they met another friend to stay with the two boys. A natural flirt. Then there are the two girls who i like to call ‘Side kick emo twins’. Who dress slightly different but not really, the same clothes but just irreversible colours. They stand either side of the popular girl with the two boys opposite. It’s practically an american high school movie but focusing on the ‘Different’ people. Then to top it off, their friend who is ginger comes over and the popular girl moves away to talk to some boys and she’s immediately shoved out the circle. To be perfectly honest she was probably more attractive than she was.
They basically stand outside our store and everytime Aidan comes by or walks towards the front of the store they go ‘ooohh he dropped a pen, or oooh he’s changed his hair today’. To make matters worse this Saturday, Aidan wasn’t even in and they were trying to draw attention with FOG HORNS. Annoying, next Sunday i’ll just go up to them and tell them he has a girlfriend. The Cold hard truth. MHAHA.
Sunday was okay, and i was probably the most helpful i’ve ever tried to be in Maplin. I spent, gladly about half an hour explaining to this man how a firewire cable is not the same as a usb2-usb1 cable, what an S video cable does, why there are so many cables and neatly what video camcorder to get at the moment. Of which i recommended him any Canon HD. More air conditioning units.. then home.
Father came home today for a few days from Bristol. Good. I love it when he comes back and puts things back into place that we’ve moved for purpose, just because it’s how it was when mum was here. :) We watched Deathproof (of which i’ve seen 8 times now and haven’t got bored) I just love how all the talks tarantino puts in shows and contrasts what happens in the second half of the movie. Good and evil and all that, with the girl carrying the gun. Brilliant action and Zoe is just a genius for doing all those stunts, i would never want to play Ships Mast. Whatever which’ ya however. Really excited to see Planet Terror now.
So today is Monday, im going to get a student loan. Fun. Going to the embassy on thursday which nicely fits in with the day i feel crap every month. Brilliant. ‘citing.
I love Ricky Gervais, Steve Merchant and Karl Pilkington.
Have a good day all!
ps. i just read alex’s tumblr! i can’t believe you turned Deathproof off you silly man!
