Like alot of people, i am a very big Harry Potter fan-i’ve been to a premiere, written fan mail, but i wouldnt say i’ve stalked Jk Rowling. I was up last night thinking of the Pros and Cons of this.
They are building a Theme park in Orlando, Florida, USA, that houses all different worlds of HP, diagon alley, hogsmeade, hogwarts castle itself.
There are few debates on the Internet whether it is a good idea, and the main debates are as follows:
1. ‘It is a British book, why is it being built in America!’
2. ’ Harry Potter is old news, by 2010 all the hype will have died out’

In reference to the first debate,
I think personally, that it would be more successful in America because of the following reasons:
1. If they screw it up- it’s their fault. The fact that they have Jk behind it is something.
2. The Climate, MAY not do justice to British weather but it will sustain the rides, keep the place going longer and ideally draw in lots of visitors. America is a large place-there are bound to be an obvious few more Potter fans here, than in Britain. It can be questioned however, would Americans(the enthusiatic bunch they are!) travel to Britain for some magic?
3. Jk has Billions, if i had Billions of money, i would go to the best theme park makers as well. Which leads on to my forth point..
4. They will make better rides, obviously due to space and previous rides in Universal. For example- Jurassic Park ride, The Hulk.

The second debate is whether the Harry potter craze will have died out by 2010.
1. Considering the last film will be out just before then, i highly doubt it.
2. It was a GLOBAL success, therefore it will take a good few years to get everyone in.
3. It’s a classic story. Tale. Epic. Whatever.

Glad i got that off my chest. I’ll be back to update you with any rides i think would be awesome LOL.
